Event Details

gypsy-fortune-tellerJust in time for the upcoming Holiday Season, Rimkus Consulting Group will provide a unique presentation on Transient Crimes that affect our Insurance world both on a local level & on a National scale.  The case studies and insight Mr. Kane provides, as both a Certified Fire Investigator for Rimkus and a 28 year active veteran of the Scottsdale Police Department, will surprisingly hit close to home as “Gypsy Crimes” are prevalent all around us all more frequently than you think.  Identification of these crimes will benefit adjusters that handle Property, Arson, Auto & Premises Liability claims. Mr. Kane became a New York City Police Officer in 1988.  In 1993 he started serving with the City of Scottsdale and was promoted to Detective in 1996.  Tom has been assigned to the Property Crimes Unit and has investigated both Residential and Commercial Burglaries, Fraud, Art Theft, Gypsy Crimes, Transient Criminal Groups, (Irish/Scottish Travelers) and Arson.  Tom served as the Lead Arson Investigator until 2010 when he was promoted to Sergeant.  He is currently assigned to the Uniformed Services Bureau and is also employed as a Fire Investigator for Rimkus Consulting Group.
