Sean Garnand, IAAI

Special Agent Sean Garnand joined NICB approximately 1.5 years ago as an Arizona agent. Since joining NICB, SA Garnand has taken over Arizona Arson Fraud, providing training and investigative assistance to multiple law enforcement agencies and fire departments throughout the state. Prior to joining NICB, Sean spent 24 years with Tucson Police Department, with the majority as a Detective. As a Detective, SA Garnand specialized in arson investigations and is certified by the International Association of Arson Investigators as a Certified Fire Investigator. In addition, SA Garnand has instructed a variety of courses to include vehicle fires and evidence collection, arson, and fire patterns.

Audrey Mehler, CIFI, WRT

Special Agent Mehler joined NICB over five years ago as an Arizona agent. Since joining NICB, SA Mehler has taken over Arizona Organized Crime, Contracting, Commercial, Property and Medical Fraud, earning her Water Restoration Technician Certification from the Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification (ICRC), as well as her CIFI certification. Special Agent Mehler also serves as one of NICB’s Regional Facilitators, providing training to insurance adjusters, and law enforcement. Prior to joining NICB, Special Agent Mehler worked as an insurance adjuster, handling fire and theft, injury, litigation, property, and auto claims.
