Presentation will discuss foundation movement and settlement and how this may or may not cause damage to stucco. This presentation will include types of foundation settlement, construction vibration damages to foundations, and review various case studies that highlight stucco/building envelope as well as interior cracking issues and damages.
Speaker: Michael Bohrer, P.E.
Mr. Bohrer has over twenty-seven (27) years of civil, structural and construction engineering experience. His structural forensic engineering expertise includes investigating building envelope water intrusion, roof damage, flooring damage, foundation settlement, retaining wall failure, post-fire and post-vehicle impact structural damage assessments with repair recommendations, mold cause and origin, and verifying compliance with applicable building codes and contract specifications. His civil engineering experience includes stormwater management, flooding damage, drainage design deficiencies, pavement design and failure, and parking lot design and ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) requirements. He has also conducted trip/slip and fall evaluations.
